Add Additional Clocks To The Windows Vista Taskbar
Published by Steve
With Windows Vista came the ability to add additional clocks to your Taskbar that can display the time for any time zone you wish. This is an ideal feature to take advantage of when you need to keep track of the time in multiple different countries at once. However, Windows Vista only allows for the addition of two extra clocks; while it may seem a little limiting, it’s certainly better than nothing.
In order to go about adding any extra clocks all you need to do is right click on the default time display in your Windows Vista Taskbar and select Adjust Date/Time from the menu.

Once the new Date and Time window has appeared, click the Additional Clocks tab to be presented with the interface we need. Enabling an extra clock is as simple as checking a box, selecting your designated time zone from the drop down list and assigning a unique name.

As you can see from the screenshot above, I have enabled the maximum two clocks; one of which will display a US and Canadian time zone and the second will display a Beijing and Hong Kong time zone. Once you are happy with your selections and are ready to add your new clocks, simply press Apply and Windows Vista will do the rest.
Now all that’s left is to admire your handy work; whenever you’re ready - go ahead and hover your mouse cursor over the time in the Windows Taskbar to have your two additional time zones appear in a cosy little pop up window.
