How To Safely Shut Down Windows Vista

Sadly, Windows Vista, and operating systems in general, work in a way which prohibits us from simply turning off our computer systems by the power at the wall. This is a shame since being able to do so would make shutting down our computers so much easier and faster!

In order to shut down Windows Vista safely and securely - simply click on your Windows Start button and click the small arrow icon which is located next to the padlock graphic in the lower right of the Start menu; doing so will present you with a mini-menu where you will be given the option to Shut Down your computer - do so. Add Additional Clocks To The Windows Vista Taskbar

With Windows Vista came the ability to add additional clocks to your Taskbar that can display the time for any time zone you wish. This is an ideal feature to take advantage of when you need to keep track of the time in multiple different countries at once. However, Windows Vista only allows for the addition of two extra clocks; while it may seem a little limiting, it’s certainly better than nothing.

Windows Vista Service Pack 1 Beta Announced

In a recent Q&A with Jon DeVaan, senior vice president of the Windows Core Operating System division at Microsoft, Mr. DeVaan unveiled Microsoft’s plans for the first service pack for Windows Vista.

It was in Redmond, Washington whereby Mr. DeVaan first announced the company’s plans regarding Windows Vista and future service packs for the operating system; as well as a timeline for the first release.

MySpace News: New Social Bookmarking Kid On The Block

It seems that social networking giant, MySpace, is hoping to jump aboard the social bookmarking bandwagon and unleash its very own news aggregator similar to that of the one found on Digg.
