I'm certainly not a big fan of change, but there comes a time when you might grow tired of your current internet browser, Internet Explorer, and perhaps you might want to consider what else is available. There are an absolute ton of internet browsers available now and, while each and every one fundamentally achieves the same goal of allowing you to easily surf the internet, you will find that each and every one of the major internet browser's functionality is usually drastically different and offers a variety of different features that may not be available in certain others. This article will be highlighting and focusing on the following web browsers: Firefox, Safari, Opera and Maxthon.

Firefox

"The award-winning Web browser is now even faster, more secure, and fully customizable to suit your online life. With Firefox 2, we’ve added powerful new features that make your online experience even better."
Firefox is definitely up there as being one of my all-time favorite internet browsers of all time and the developers continue to add fantastic features to an already great package. Security issues are also hastily rectified should they arise.

Main Features: Improved Tabbed Browsing, Spell Checking, Search Suggestions, Session Restore, Web Feeds (RSS), Live Titles, Integrated Search, Live Bookmarks, Pop-up Blocker, Phishing Protection, Open Source, Automated Update, Protection from Spyware and Search Engine Manager.
Tagline: "The Firefox Web Browser is the faster, more secure, and fully customizable way to surf the web."

Safari

"Experience the web, Apple style, with Safari: the fastest, easiest-to-use, web browser in the world. With its simple, elegant interface, Safari gets out of your way and lets you enjoy the web -- up to 2 times fast than Internet Explorer."

Main Features: Blazing Performance, Elegant User Interface, Easy Bookmarks, Pop-up Blocking, Inline Find, Tabbed Browsing, SnapBack, Forms AutoFill, Built-in RSS, Resizable Text Areas, Private Browsing and Security.

Opera

"Why Opera? Safe, secure, powerful and fully customizable, the Opera Web browser is faster and more secure than other browsers available on the market. Opera delivers robust security and a far-richer feature set than any other Web browser and it's free.

Opera is the Web pioneer that delivered tabbed browsing in 2000, and Opera 9.2 features lots of other great tricks for quick navigation, including Speed Dial, a quick way to put all of your favorite daily sites at your fingertips. You can also take, save and trade Notes attached to any Web site while browsing, or Create Search shortcuts from any search field on the Web. Opera 9.25 is super fast and free, secure and stable, and offers lots of great tools for Web Developers."

Main Features: Transfer manager, Tabbed browsing, Password manager, Integrated search, Mouse gestures, Fast Forward, Notes, Keyboard Shortcuts, Full-screen mode, Speed Dial™, Fraud protection, Integrated BitTorrent, Widgets Support and Thumbnail Preview.

Maxthon

"Maxthon Browser is a powerful tabbed browser built for all users. Besides basic browsing functionality, Maxthon Browser provides a rich set of features to improve your surfing experience."

    SAFARI SUCKS.
The only good alternative is firefox,
i think most people use internet because its already included with there computer. (well most people, macs are GAYYYYYYY)Opera works okay, and internet is fast, ps.
Apple can shut their big fat mouths.
    LEOPARD WAS A MESS.
I SWITCHED TO VISTA AFTER BUYING LEOPARD.
I will never have a mac ever again.

I tried to use FIREFOX for its "most secured" claim. Unfortunately, FireFox does not load/show table headings and many formats properly or at all !!!

Consequently, I cannot explore its "most secured" features but had to switch back to Safari for its faster speed relative to IE.

Please push FIREFOX to display tables and other formats properly, so users can use its "most secured" features.

I welcome better suggestions for SECURED (absolutely essential) and FAST e-banking.

I like the new Firefox. Its so much better than the last one. The problem is they team up with Google(who doesn't nowadays, except for a few people)(now they are having problems with them). I tried Safari and it just wouldn't find all the web sites I wanted to go to(stopped working). ALSO it timed out which means it STOPPED Working at a certain time of the night!!

I am trying SeaMonkey and its OK but a box pops up Everytime I open the browser that says: do u want to make this ur Default browser? I keep checking the box: Do not show next time browser starts up....and it Doesn't Do any good.

I filled out a complaint form and so far theres been No support. Theres hardly Any Variety of Themes at all and the ones that Don't work that I like, are still there and Not taken off of there.

I tried K-Meleon and something didn't work in it and other browers would have no problem with it working. So I deleted that.

First I liked Firefox (when I had broadband) but now I prefer Safari or Opera
I have a dialup connection (very very low speed) And Damn Firefox drops almost all downloads if the download speed goes less than 2kb/s.

Firefox my favorite browser, as with the problems with Firefox, you just have to know how to configure it, especialy java. You can make Firefox load web pages (mostly videos) a lot faster by typing "about:config" in the browser and set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" then set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" then set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. Then right click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0"

Blimey, I cannot be bothered to make changes to get a browser to act as I want in this manner. I want and expect a browser to be made user friendly in the first place. These guys know the technology around and things such as this should be standard in any "good" modern browser.

Opera is the best browser ever, Firefox, Crome, Internet Explorer are all copying Opera.

I UNDERSTAND OPERA TO BE NOTHING MORE THAN AN EXTENSION OF IE: SOMEWHAT OF A SKIN OVERLAY. I KNOW WHEN I CHANGE SETTINGS IN OPERA THE SAME CHANGES ARE CONGRUENTLY MADE IN MY IE.

Chrome is the fastest but crash really a lot.
Opera is the most stable & friendly for me but ROBOForm isn't support, so it got ommited by me.
Maxthon 1 is the compromise as ROboform & support display as with IE.
Firfox, what so good about this? Disply also have problem with some website, slow some more.
